Nope Nope Nope, perhaps context is lost on you. In my post I posted that Philly was looking for veteran rotational players. IE Role Players. 3 and D SFs are role players and Ariza is one of the best role playing SFs in the league. SO what Philly is looking for, Ariza is one of the best options out there. Philly Isn't in the market for Kawhi, or Draymond Green, or Durant simpleton. So them being able to do more than defend and shoot the 3 is irrelevant to Ariza being one of the best options for PHI.

Again for the last time, Philly ain't singing a Green, Durant, etc. For what they have said they are looking for Ariza is one of the best options. An AVAILABLE veteran, role player to fill out the roster.

If a team is the market for a defensive big off the bench and we say that Kosta Koufus is a top 5 defensive big man for what they are looking for, and then you come in and say NOOO Drummond, and 4 others are better!! This is essentially what you are doing here. Wheteher theyre are more rounded SFs means squat, they aren't available to Philly.

Hard to tell if he's dumb or just likes to argue. I'll go with he just isn't all that bright. 3 and D implies a certain level player, no one is trying to compare 3 and D guys to max level guys. For teams in the market for a 3 and D player, the fact that their are better players than guys in the 3 and D category is Irrelevant.

Is Ariza really that much better than Covington? Covington is younger, cheaper and is still improving. Why would the Sixers make that move?

Ariza is a good 3&D SF. I don't get the discord? There's a lot of different types of SFs, guys like Hayward and Batum are not niche role players as they are facilitators while other guys like Carroll, Ariza, AFA, Parsons, etc are more of the role player 3&D type.

Is Ariza worth Noel or Okafor, no mostly due to the fact Ariza is going to be 31 in a week and that does not help them in anyway in building a young upcoming team. Also the fact that Noel/Okafor are both really good young upcoming players. You don't see Minny tossing stacked assets (Lavine/Rubio) for a specific role player who's 31.

But Ariza is still good.

Reportedly they want to bring in some vets to mentor the young guys. Ariza is a better player today than Covington, Covington had a really bad shooting year.

They can't get fair value for those guys because everyone knows they need to move one of them. PHI want some veterans around to help out mentoring the young guys, they could def do worse than getting both Ariza and Bev. If you're HOU why do you want to trade Ariza and Beverly for a guy who isn't even as good as Capela.

I don't see that big of a difference. Covington is one of the best value contracts in the league. Their numbers are pretty close. Covington is not that young either (he'll be 26 this year). They have much bigger needs..

Im not trying to get my hopes up but man, Whiteside is far and away my #1 want for the Lakers this offseason.

Covington was on the Rockets. I've seen both Ariza and Covington play many times.

Ariza is better by a decent margin. Ariza is a great defensive player. He can lock down guys and make it very difficult for star players. He can shoot the 3 also.

About the only thing Covington does well is shoot the 3. Defense is average.

No he's not. And they agree clearly by rejecting that trade.

They have Robert Covington, who is on a much better contract and provides what they need already. And they have Timothy Luwawu in the wings to groom for the future.

Ariza is not worth parting major assets for them. Hence why they rejected the deal. Ariza is a role player with a streaky 3 point shot, average percentages from the arc and on the backside of his career. Not to mention they will have a ton of cap space. second most I believe. They don't need to give up Noel for someone like Ariza.

Your arbitrary ranking is irrelevant. When it comes to factoring in price for performance and cost, Robert Covington is one of the best bargain role players in the league.

Once again your inability to make rational arguments when it involves your team makes you look like the imbecile you are.

On the court Ariza > Covington. And if they want veteran leadership like they have mentioned Ariza >>>>>> Covington.

Wouldn't expect someone with your lack of hoops acumen to get it though so I think we're done here.

Derozan likely to stay in Toronto. Reportedly will not take any visits unless a disparity occurs.

So much for that idiot Stephen A Smith guarantee that Derozan will wear purple and gold
