Should have zero problems finding takers. Just a matter of what OKC's asking for.

Oh man, Ibaka to Boston for the pick/pieces. OKC drafts either Dunn or Hield
Posted on 6/23/16 at 2:41 pm to Goldrush25
Would have to imagine Boston will give them a call, but I think the price will be way too steep for any team to get Ibaka

Why the smh emoji? That is an acceptable subject-verb agreement.
ETA, I was thinking it could be acceptable since collective nouns are often treated as singular, but apparently team names are treated as plural. Carry on.

riza was .02 percentage points above the league average in threes. And that's top five to you boom? You still want to keep doing this dumb dance you always do?
that don't mean shite.
Aminu, Covington, Crowder, etc are also knows as 3 and D SFs who shoot even worse from three than Ariza does. Barnes and Carroll are slightly better. If you don't know what the term 3 and D means don't try to tell me who is or isn't a 3 and D'er bro.

May be contradicting my last post but, if you wanna keep KD don't you want to have pieces to win now vs young developing players? I don't see them get equal value with a player/player deal
Posted on 6/23/16 at 2:46 pm to Goldrush25
What sense does it make to move Ibaka when you're trying to re-sign KD?

Do they have the pieces to make that move?

Yea Ibaka, Biyombo, and Thon Maker definitely shared a legal beer a decade ago
Posted on 6/23/16 at 3:01 pm to vengeanceofrain
Ibaka has plenty of years left in him.

Yeah Ibaka is young and in his prime.

It's really hard to tell if he's trolling or just completely off his rocker. I hope he's trolling

Not trying to get into it, but isn't it understood that you're omitting better, more rounded players when you use the term "3 &D" ?
Yes, to an extent. But Boom was making the argument that Ariza was a top 5 3 and D player. Which is semantics nonsense.
3 and D is a skillset teams seek for SG and SF as almost a bare minimum. A skillset you want your 2 or 3 to have in order to guard the superstars that litter that position.
When you are ranking who are the best at those skills you don't just ommit arbitrarily players that have those skills to fit an arbitrary ranking to prop up a player on your team. Thats not how analysis works. Or if it is how you are making it, you are doing it wrong.
Kawhi was a 3 and D guy for a while, then all of the sudden when he progresses we take him out of that category?? He still plays D and shoots threes.
Same with Draymond Green.
Ariza was the opposite story, a guy that was given the chance to be a centerpiece player that failed at it and was relegated to a role player. So now Boom wants to save face and relegate him a top 5 player in some arbitrary metric he has concocted in his mind.
Typical Boom nonsense. Ariza is a middle of the pack role player SF that plays solid defense and is a streaky and inconsistent three point shooter. On the back side of his career.

He's implying that Ibaka's birth certificate is horeshit due to African athletes tending to lie about their true age. The theory has gained some traction due to his play declining the last several years even though these should be in his prime years.
Bismack Biyombo is rumored to be 5-8 years older than his listed ago and Mutombo was also suspected of being several years older than his given age.
Tanguy Ngombo gave his age as 21 but the T-Wolves found out he was actually 27 after they drafted him.

A 3 and D SF is by definition a role playing SF, not a max or superstar. Leonard isn't a role player, Durant isn't a role player. NO ONE is comparing Ariza to max players we are comparing him to the other role playing SFs that do more or less what he does. That people will argue this is mindbottling.
As you describe it a 3 and D is merely a guy that has failed to be more then just a 2 skill player.
Kawhi was a 3 and D player and he progressed. Draymond Green was a 3 and D player and he progressed.
You are right, guys like Lebron, George, Kawhi, Green, Durant are not just 3 and D players, they are multidimensional players that also have 3 and D skillsets. Most at a higher level in both categories then Ariza.
So its an empty, arbitrary, silly ranking you concocted to avoid an actual meaningful analysis of the trade and the player in comparison to his peers. But you are a troll with mediocre, rose colored basketball knowledge so its not that surprising.
