Do you think another would give it to him, if they could (they can't but hypothetically)?

If Draymond hits FA, someone will offer him the max and immediately regret imo.

He probably becomes waaay less agressive on a 6 or 7 seed team.

That super max is no joke.

There may only be 7 or 8 players worth a super max IMO.

I completely agree. Look at what OKC is set to pay Westbrook when his supermax kicks in next year

Only GS can offer him the super max.

I see epic Cajun already pointed that out and was asking a hypothetical. I certainly wouldn't give him the super max but depending on the situation I'd give him the max. To me, he's as valuable as Gobert, who I think a lot of people think of as a max guy.

IMO, I'd much rather Gobert. Draymond is more versatile, but Gobert is affecting the way that you play more than Draymond. No one is going to avoid shooting in the paint because Draymond is there. With Gobert lurking he takes away most shots in the paint.

Obviously, this depends on who you are playing. If you are a team that can shoot the 3 1-5, then Gobert will be less effective because he will get pulled away from the basket where he is most effective.

If we're talking defense only, I'd much rather have Gobert, Davis, and Kawhi over Draymond.

I get that B has to troll Pels fans, you can't say defense only in basketball.

This thing gonna go for like 8 pages with people defending AD now

the easiest way to see which defenders are truly elite and which aren't is look and see which ones mere presence on the court ensures elite team defense. Davis no not even close.

Gobert - yes
Green - yes
Leonard - yes
Embiid - yes
Prime D12 - yes

We already went through this nonsensical bullshite, but to save this shite from going an additional useless 10 pages:

AD off the floor -> the team defensively is 3.0 rating worse (at 113 rating) than the 30th ranked phoenix suns (110 rating). Let that sink in how bad the tanking phoenix suns were. the pelicans without AD are even worse.

Gobert/Embiid off the floor -> The team is slightly average-below average at around 107.2 and 107.7 rating

AD on the floor -> 7.5 rating improvement
Gobert on the floor -> 6.8 rating improvement
Embiid on the floor -> 5.1 rating improvement

To add further since you mention green:
His team's DRTG without him: 108.3
His team's DRTG with him: 107.9

I've always been more concerned with ON than ON/OFF, we aint discussing how good these guys backups are, we are talking about how good these players are themselves. Davis has never anchored an elite D, they other guys mere presence ensures elite D.

Davis is an elite all around player. Likely the best two way player in the league.

That’s just a fact.

I don't know why I try. This isn't for you, this is for the small chance that anyone believes your bullshite.

Post All star break (post Boogie) the Pels were 5th in DRTG.

Bc Amir Johnson is better than Chekck freaking Diallo you think that puts Davis on the level of a Jojo Embiid...

because his backup is better and therefore their D doesn't fall off as much

embiid is out there with bayless, redick, marco, ilyasova, etx etx and still posting an elite D bc that's the kinda impact he has.
