He's been an All-NBA player twice and made the All-Defensive teams like 4 times already.

For a supermax you have to make All-NBA 2 out of 3 seasons prior to signing it. He didn't make it this season, so he has to make it next season to qualify.

I'm not sure why Dray isn't eligible now. I think he may not have played enough seasons yet, but I'm not sure. I have seen a few writers mention that he has to receive honors next season to be eligible though.

He can't sign it until next offseason. So the All NBA team from 3 seasons ago doesn't count for it at that point. He didn't make an All NBA team this season, so he needs to make one next season to qualify for the 2 out of 3 season stipulation.
ETA: you have to be entering into your 8th season at the earliest to qualify for it.
ETA2: The parameters that Kadillak pointed out are an either/or thing. You don't have to get both of them, so if he would make an All NBA team this season he would qualify for both of them. Also, if Klay get an All NBA nod, he would also qualify for both of them. I kinda hope they both get All NBA and push for the supermax

Why not? How many players should be paid the supermax? I've been told Draymond is close to a top 10 player. Should less than 10 players be paid the supermax?
