Why? They're the Kings.
I think the Kings FA strategy is pretty much only based in whether someone will agree to come to the Kings. If that answer is yes, they are all in.

B/c his agent is a stupid shithead who just cut himself off from ever working with the Mavs again.
He was leaking to reporters he was going to back out of their deal with Dallas before ever even giving the Mavs the heads up. Yogi even did an interview on local TV last night talking about how happy he was to re-sign with the Mavs.

Proof of the Lakers profile/ prestige that 3 guys presumably 9-11 or 10-12 on the depth chart ( barring injuries) are so scrutinized. On 1 year deals under $10 million dollar total they'll probably contribute more as Lakers than Mosgov / Dengs 4 year $136 million albatrosses.
I'd prefer Beasley over Melo .
