outside of boombot, the CC crowd has fallen silent with the loss of Luc after Ariza. Even worse, it’s looking like Melo may be slotting in.

I think melo could be a solid 3&D wing if he actually put the effort into becoming just that.

Rockets have a good deal of confidence in their ability to sign Carmelo Anthony, several sources said last night, once he become free. Will likely still need a defensive wing in Mbah a Moute's role.

Live action shot of Melo working to become a 3&D wing at a charity youth basketball camp:

He can't shoot threes anymore. He's been league average or worse the last 4 years, which was right around the same time his knee surgery took place.

Hey shel dont make fun of melo he's magically going to be better than the past 4 years of evidence we can point to due to playing with Chris and James. They can fix his knees! He's better than Ariza and Mbah combined!!!!

You think Rockets fans are avoiding the MSB because the loss of Luc Mbah a Moute?

Yo. I only talk to you heathens on work's time.
No sugar coating. It sucks. You're back to a single, solid perimeter defender again. It's a big problem. I just can't fathom that Morey believes Melo is a viable alternative for either guy. He can be a good stretch 4 in this system, but I have no reason to believe he'll conform to that role. It's too deferential.
That said, it's Morey doing exactly what he's always done. He's got a value on Luc and he's not exceeding it, chemistry and history be damned. He'll find a replacement he feels is of equal value, which will likely be extremely underwhelming to you and me alike, and plug him into the same role. We'll see if it works. He's got a pretty damn good batting average on role player acquisitions.
But I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't worried.

Yeah I am not a fan overall of what has transpired. There was nothing they could do about Ariza with the Suns willing to throw that type of money at him, but absolutely could have prevented losing Luc
And when both were healthy Luc was better than Ariza last year

How the mighty has fallen.
Bron signs a 4yr/153M deal
Nobody wants Melo

Then Ariza leaves and a few of them it seems are now saying he didn't move the needle and wasn't a very important piece and isn't much of a loss.

He’s a loss, but replaceable. The problem is they haven’t replaced him and seem like they’re going to try to do it with a completely different player. Then multiply that x2 with Luc gone and it definitely hurts.

You win 80% of your games that Chris and James played together irregardless of who else was out there with them. That goes to 90% with Clint. Role players....are role players. You got James and Chris out there it really don’t matter who else is out there with them. You will contend.
Posted on 7/10/18 at 9:28 am to Boomshockalocka
So you're telling us a healthy Rockets team is going to win 74 games next year? That's 90%.

It would surprise me bc they are going to rest guys and be extra safe w the injuries and stuff. Idk if we ever saw a team dominate the league like CC did when the triumvirate of Chris Clint and James played last year. That will continue this go.
