The west is going to be a bloodbath. Spots 6-12 will probably only be separated by 3-4 games

spurs are gonna somehow meander their way into the playoffs again preventing a more interesting team to watch from getting in just to lose in the 1st round

I think 35 wins is a serious goal. Anything above 30 wins and actually being competitive most nights would realistically be a good season IMO.

I mean, we won 19 last year, so like 32 wins and being competitive would be a big jump.
Yeah, that’s what I meant by a leap. I’m thinking about like last year’s Mavs and the Grizzlies will be at the bottom this year.

Zion will be a rookie

Right, but he's not going to be asked to be more than maybe the 4th best player on the team.

the team is new.

This is a legit concern though, it may take the team a while to gel because 6 of their top 7 in the rotation are going to be new to the team.

Yeah, I think the Suns will be much improved, even if it doesn't show as much in the standings. The team last year was beyond horrible. Borderline unwatchable. Rubio isn't great. But he's savvy and by far the best playmaker we've had in years. He'll take some pressure off Booker which is huge.

Besides that, Ayton needs to improve defensively and get himself involved more on offense. There were times he just couldn't get in positions to get the ball. Then he'd realize he's an absolutely dominant physical presence and be fine.

Also, we need a couple guys to shoot threes. Booker was atrocious last year, partially because everything he did was heavily contested. Oubre wasn't great from three. Bridges wasn't great. Really TJ was our one good three point shooter. Some floor spacing would be clutch.

Sources: The Memphis Grizzlies and former No. 4 pick Josh Jackson have agreed for him not to join the team in training camp, and start the season in the NBA G League.

What's going to be the narrative when LBJ wins a ship with this squad? He needed AD?

but we all saw how much Dallas (over) paid him

wut?

8 million a year for a SG who fits extremely well with what the Mavs and Rick Carlisle are going to do isn't an overpay. He's going to play 25 minutes a night, score around 12-13ppg, and create a shite ton of room for Luka and KP to operate.

yup. just wait as long Zion can come back within 5 weeks with his good healing genes. pels will surprise.

but
not too many fans predicted in this thread. that say to me a lot. lake show look too clean in preseason to bet against. harsh reality some don't wanna admit
