Update: 1:30 a.m. ET
• The Clippers "continue to have an interest in LeBron and Melo," according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. And why wouldn't they? They also reportedly have called their own free agent point guard, Darren Collison.
• More Clippers: They reportedly think they have a "real chance" of luring Paul Pierce away from Brooklyn after the whole Jason Kidd debacle. The Blazers, Grizzlies, Bulls, Mavericks and Rockets have also reportedly called to register their interest Pierce.
• A Pacers source told the Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner that Lance Stephenson is "our No. 1 priority and we'll know something by [Tuesday], hopefully." Also, um, they have quite a pitch for him.
• You can add the Celtics and Warriors to your list of teams that have reportedly expressed interest in Isaiah Thomas.
• Kyle Lowry has heard from the Heat, Lakers and Mavericks in addition to the Raptors and Rockets tonight, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.
• The Lakers reportedly have reached out to Pau Gasol.
• Luol Deng's former team, Chicago, reportedly has interest in him. So do the Los Angeles Lakers.
• Portland reportedly wants a stretch-four, and is targeting Josh McRoberts and Boris Diaw in addition to Spencer Hawes. Blazers GM Neil Olshey and head coach Terry Stotts reportedly met with Hawes in Los Angeles.
• The Lakers have reportedly reached out to Kent Bazemore! Their first priority is LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, though. Weird.

The Grizz apparently are going to try to sign Mo Williams again this offseason. He ultimately turned us down last year because y'all were able to offer him more money.

Line of teams chasing Kyle Lowry so long that Raptors now said to be weighing whether to offer fifth year to Lowry to clinch his re-signing
Posted on 7/1/14 at 12:48 am to RTR America
Yeah, we really need to re-sign him since it wouldn't affect our available cash (due to the non-bird exception).
We also have the MLE and Bi Annual Exception. Seems like Hawes is our clear top priority, but I don't think we will have enough cash in the end.
Who knows what's going on with this Monroe news. Early talk sounds like it would be something like Wes Matthews/CJ McCollum/Dorell Wright in exchange for Monroe.
My guess is we end up with Mo and Frye and another guard using the BAE.

Kyrie Irving intends to sign 5-year, $90 million extension with the Cavaliers, league source tells Yahoo Sports. Commitment came in meeting.

Yeah we have basically only have the MLE to use. Most of the Grizzlies' money is set aside for resigning Marc Gasol next season and Mike Conley the following year.

No deals can be signed before July 10 when leaguewide moratorium lifted but teams/players can strike verbal agreement as Cavs/Kyrie just did

Sounds like Portland's only chance is a S&T. Reportedly looking for $8M and we can only offer $5.3M.
Probably looking at Matthews and change for Hawes and Jack.

Update: 1:59 a.m.
The Cavaliers have reached an agreement on a five-year, $90 million contract extension with Kyrie Irving. Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert announced it on Twitter. The contract can't be signed until the league's moratorium is lifted on July 10.
Toronto is considering adding a fifth year to its offer to Kyle Lowry, as a result of the number of teams pursuing him, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Miami reached out to Lowry's agent, and the two sides will speak in the morning, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Dallas doesn't have Isaiah Thomas high on its list of priorities, though the team did reach out to him tonight, according to ESPN's Tim McMahon.

I think I heard or read something last year that he turned down the Heat too. His connection to Olshey is what got him in PDX.

I love Mathews. If Mathews is dealt, I expect Mo to be back. Would free up minutes for Barton and McCollum.

I don't know why Chicago is interested. Under the new CBA, if a team trades you you can't go back to them for a full year. I guess it could be season, but I'm pretty sure it's a year.

RTR is doing work.
Can someone tell me if this is true, not for any real reason, just think it's funny.
I read that Melo opted out 7 days before FA, Lebron 6, Wade 3, and Bosh 1.

My gut is telling me a S/T happens between the Pistons and Kings involving Isaiah Thomas and Josh Smith.

That seems about right, what's up with the copter?

Well that would be the dumbest rule I've ever heard.

not really, prevents teams from doing things like
"Hey Luol, we're gonna trade you in your final contract year to cleveland. They're gonna send us [insert whatevere here], and in the offseason we'll re-sign you as intended."
They get to keep their star SF that they intended to pay anyway, and they get more parts.
