Your potentially big offseason has been a colossal failure. This is a Louisiana-based message board. There is an NBA team in this state, and it plays in Houston's division. Thus, Pelicans fans here are happy to see the Rockets' fail. Same would have been true of Dallas, Memphis and San Antonio. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Greg Smith is happy to join such a great origination in Dallas

It's amazing Mike miller is getting paid so much on the open market when it was just a couple years ago he looked like he could barely walk up the court for the heat
If the Heat knew he would play 82 games this year, they would have never amnestied him. He was only available for 139 out of 230 games in his Heat career. Even worse, the Heat letting Miller go REALLY pissed off LeBron.

Rockets and Mavericks have expressed willingness to try to hammer out a sign-and-trade IF league will allow them to do so. Might not happen

I've never heard of anyone caring about nba divisional rivals before tbh.

when you're in the toughest division in any sport, it makes a pretty big difference whether the teams in it make moves or not in the off season, especially when you play them more often than every other team and 1 or 2 games can be the difference in seeding.

It was a much bigger deal in the 80's and 90's than it is today.

Oh wait. You're a typical Rockets fan on this board.

I really don't get what their problem is. It seems like they agree that their offseason has been a complete failure.

Pelicans fans have a bad case of something when it comes to the Rockets...
It's a domino effect of the little brother syndrome that the city has w/ Houston, and Texas in general.

The thing is with Houston the problem isn't swinging and missing on big time free agents, it is trading away your depth to do so.

I completely hear you on not wanting rivals to improve, but you can't argue that pelicans fans would be celebrating like they are if this happened to Memphis

I agree. I don't mind losing Lin because he becomes a liability too many times in clutch moments. Losing Asik is what hurts

Lulz. You are confusing that non-existent concept with Houston's big brother Dallas, who just happened to help frick up your entire offseason.

We would never clear a ton of cap space to sign free agents because they don't come here
Besides it won't be an issue because Hollinger > Morey

that's partially because their posters aren't complete jackasses on this site
with my friends, though, i'd be very happy.

Problem there is Beverley had an injury last year near the end of the season and Dwight's had back problems. Just gotta pray nothing happens to them.
