I like the signing because it keeps things open to trade Parsons if a deal arises in the future. Plus Parsons can play some stretch 4
Maybe. Maybe not.

Cuban put a "No Trade" clause in the offer that Parsons signed. That means he can't be traded without Parsons' approval and he can't be traded to Dallas, either. Also, Ariza couldn't be traded, either, at least until December.

I don't see Ariza being happy about playing off the bench. You don't get a huge contract later as a sixth man. If Houston resigns Parsons, Ariza will be gone In December.

I didn't realize he had the no trade clause, smart move for Chandler to have that in there

Before Lebron went back to Cleveland, the rumors were that Love was interested in the Lakers, Bulls, Knicks, & Warriors. A few reports said the Celtics were also a possibility, but they weren't in most reports. That was the teams that was mentioned.

Now that Lebron is back in Ckeveland, the Cavs have been added to that list of teams Love would like to play for. In fact, it has been leaked that he would sign an extension if traded to Cleveland, something that hasn't been leaked about with any other team before. This is new info and I believe it's safe to say that Cleveland may be the favorite based on that.

The Lakers, Bulls, and Knicks have shite to offer, so the Cavs really only have to compete with the Warriors.

What offers have the Wolves gotten that were better than the ones that the Cavs have offered? Minnesota seems hell bent on getting Klay for Love, but the Warriors are saying Klay isn't available. That pretty idiotic on the Warriors part if true.

No he didn't, that is just how restricted free agent contracts are. It is only for the first year he can refuse to go anywhere. I doubt Parsons would care that much because he would likely end up with a bigger role on a new team. What Cuban did that would make it even harder to trade Parsons is put a 15% trade kicker in his contract.

He just got paid. I would guess it was the best offer on the table too.

He basically went on a free agent tour of Boston so they are definitely in it.

Probably because his people were being asked way more about Cleveland once Lebron going back there became a possibility. Even if they are his favorite, that doesn't make it the favorite to the Minny front office.

If they're not putting in Wiggins they haven't offered shite yet either. Even in that 3 team trade the best piece coming back to Minny is coming from GS.

That would likely leave as soon as he can. Draft picks and young guys like Wiggins and Bennett can't/won't leave for a while most likely.

Ariza will be 34 when he becomes a FA, how much do you honestly think he will make then?

Klay Thompson is as likely to leave early as Tristan Thompson or Dion Waiters. Probably less since he'll just take his max deal whereas those two might think they're worth more than what they'll get offered.

But they're not putting in Wiggins and who knows what Bennett is. So basically you're back to draft picks which are Cleveland and Miami's which are likely out of the lottery in the next couple drafts.

Still can't believe how far my Lakers have fallen.

What a mess.

Not only can they not attract any big name free agents, their own stars are willing to play elsewhere for less money

Lakers not swinging a trade for Pau and losing him for nothing after so many chances to deal him does not qualify as a success.

David Stern severely fricked the Lakers. The Lakers could have gotten CP3 for Gasol a couple of years ago and now they didn't get shite for Gasol

Stern can go frick himself

Yeah we only got 2 all-stars out of that deal and more success than the franchise had ever experienced with Pau on the roster. What a disaster that was.

I stand corrected. Still..... 15% of $46 million is a hefty penalty of $7.2 million. That would make trading him, especially considering everyone is saying he's being overpaid, a difficult proposition.
