I hope Buss jr is listening to you.
Durant is Laker bound for sure.
Couldn't they have Durant Westbrook and Love?

If Bron leaves, that's lots of cap space going forward. KD can come on in the future.

If I'm Durant I'd probably leave. The Thunder won't spend money to win, yet they made plenty of money this season. Playing for a cheap owner must blow.

Telfair, Thunder reach agreement
quote:
After a one-year hiatus, Sebastian Telfair will make his return to the NBA for the 2014-15 season.
The free agent point guard and Oklahoma City Thunder have reached an agreement, league sources informed CSNNW.com.
According to sources that requested to remain anonymous, the terms agreed to is for one-year at the veteran’s minimum after meeting with team officials and touring the city recently. The speedy guard has a career average of 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The Portland Trail Blazers took the high school phenom No. 13 overall in the 2004 NBA Draft.
Reggie Jackson expressed a desire to be inserted into the starting lineup at the end of the Thunder’s 2014 playoff run, which could place Telfair in a natural backup point guard role.
Telfair, 29, played for the Tianjin Ronggang in China last season.

Man, what the hell are the Hawks waiting on? We have one of the larger bankrolls for free agency but we aren't linked to anything at the moment.

I like the Telfair addition. Sure beats the hell out of D-Fish.

no one wants to play in an arena 1/3 full and if full 3/4 of the fans rooting for the away team.

Yes because NBA players don't chase money and only care about how many people are in the stadium to watch them play

They are honing their "with you on our roster, we can win 45 games with a second round exit" sales pitch.

I saw the other day they are looking into Deng. I wouldn't be surprised if they are maybe waiting for a couple dominos to fall first.

They've actually got a pretty good thing going in Atlanta, at least in the coaching department. The East is wide open right now and if they pick up either one big piece or a couple good smaller ones they could be very dangerous next season.

At 12 mil per year? Have fun with that bloated contract.
And watch Ariza get a bloated contract too.

Overpaying vets after a little playoff success always seems to happen
If Ariza shoots like he did this past season then I think he might be worth being a bit overpaid. I'm not a big fan of Gortat's contract though.
We will see though. I read an article last night that talked about how they foresee a large increase in the salary cap the next couple of seasons thanks to the NBA's new TV deal and the local TV deal the Clippers are likely going to get.

We are three days into the NBA's silly season and there is a lot of rumors and a lot of waiting going on. So far we have seen the Atlanta Hawks linked to the likes of big names like Luol Deng, Greg Monroe and even Pau Gasol. Perhaps its their interest in Kent Bazemore that is making the most noise. However, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that Atlanta has also reached out to the Lakers' Nick Young as have several other teams.
Nick Young heard from Atlanta along with the Lakers, as well as "several other teams registering interest," according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein.
Young averaged a career best 17.9 points while shooting 44 percent last season. He is long and a career 38 percent shooter from three-point range and in many ways he would appear to fit into what the Hawks need on the wing. That is, if he would be willing to buy into the program.
