Greivis Vasquez will sign a two-year, $13 million deal to stay with Toronto, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Not a bad deal for Greivis. I'm a big fan of him as a backup PG.

A bit too pricey for Toronto though.

eta: And I just realized they are spending $23m on the PG position. Ignore what I just said...

Re: Vasquez: A lot for backup PG, but GV is more than that, and investing in Lowry means investing in Lowry's health. Also, just two years.

the Lowry-Vasquez 2 man combination had the highest +/- of any 2 man combination on the team in only 10 min per game. Maybe they saw something in that.

He's one of the better backup PG's available and played a lot with Lowry down the stretch in their playoff games.

Wouldn't be surprised if Vasquez was re-signed with a view to being dealt, effectively a S&T without BYC. Two years makes that very doable.

So it's going to be:

Irving
Wiggins
Bron
Thompson
Varajeo

Who is still there for the bench? Waiters, Bennett, Dellavedova...I can't think of anyone else.

I'm not sure that's any better than the Heat last year really. Better bench, but not as good D and no shooting at all from the frontcourt.

Do they still have cap if they get Bron?

Per source, LeBron James has all the information he needs from teams & will take no more meetings. Will spend next day+ talking w/family.

Aldridge basically reporting the same thing. Would seem odd for LeBron to side with Cleveland without himself having a meeting with them.

Why is that all of a sudden bad news for Cleveland?

Am I just reading that wrong?

I don't think it's bad news for the cavs, but it's not good news.

But really, what does he need to hear them say. There has been a lot of contact between Paul and the cavs.
