That wasn't a knock on Houston, just discussing how deep the West is right now. That series goes 7 games as well if not for that absurd shot by Lillard.

Pretty sure they need to renounce their rights to Parsons prior to signing Bosh. I'm sure there's some loophole they're planning to use, but after that, they are basically at the tax line before they even have a PG or any bench players.
To just sign him they would have to do a lot of things. I'm sure they are pushing for a sign and trade that include Lin and Asik though. The issue the Rockets might run into is that they would be pretty close to the $81m hard cap and only have 10-11 players on the roster. (assuming Capela stays overseas and Casspi is waived).

And somebody correct me if I'm wrong... but would they be able to use any exceptions to sign some veterans?
They would have the midlevel exception if they sign and trade for Bosh.

I don't buy that angle. Pau wants to win, and win now. Is he really the piece that somehow makes the Knicks a title-contender? Don't think so.
Maybe not this season, but they will have ton of cap space next summer to work with.

Aldridge was playing out of his mind, Harden was playing terrible, and Lillard hit a miracle shot to end the series in 6 games.
If Lillard didn't hit that shot, it would have gone to 7.
There was a very fine line and the series was extremely competitive. Maybe the most competitive series in the entire playoffs, even though it was 6 games.
4-2 is deceiving.
It never ends.

Harden had little room to operate with Wes Mat on him.

If LeBron summoned Pat solely to say goodbye, I would think the Heat director of cap stuff wouldn't be there.
I think they're gonna talk business. If Lebron doesn't like what he hears, he'll make his decision by tomorrow for sure.

Asik is being traded to New Orleans and they supposedly have a deal in place to send Lin to Philly contingent upon Bosh agreeing to come.

Yeah, once all of those guys on rookie deals expire, they're going to be very hard to resign or replace because of Bosh/Howard/Harden making $56M between them.

dang it... got caught up in this thread and missed Javi Sanchez leaving the LSU baseball coaching staff

I get that Lebron probably does move his cars every year but today is ann odd day to be doing that. Probably just coincidence but would seem like an extreme troll job if he stays with Miami.

If the Knicks could add Gasol, they would easily be a playoff team next season (I think they are even without him) but with all the money at their disposal next summer, they could immediately become a title contender.
