That trade doesn't really make any sense for either team

I have strong doubts CP3 is involved in the trade.

quote:The most ironic part of his argument is that boom famously said "injuries are an excuse but rust is a reason."
WBB, the cavs won 2 games against the warriors in 2015 with Matthew dellavedova as their 2nd best player, and beat the warriors in 2016 when they were close to full strength.
And it's one thing to have a freak and severe injury (Theismann's leg, Durant's achilles, Protho's leg, etc.) that are more a function of some bad luck that could happen to anyone, regardless of their athletic ability.
But "playing hurt" and not being 1005 because of the wear and tear of the sport itself, that happens to many, if not most, players is completely different. That's what he is arguing about Steph and Iggy, and both of them have had these types of issues in multiple postseasons.
Besides, one of the things that sets apart the greatest athletes are their ability to stay healthy and/or maintain their performance even when they aren't completely healthy. It's not coincidence that 3 greatest players in NBA history (Jordan, Kareem, and Lebron) not only played the game at the highest levels and had the most achievements, they did all that while averaging at least 3200 minutes per season (regular season and postseason combined) for at least 15 years.

Lakers can't fit Chris Paul into cap space and they don't have any real assets as far as I know

Only if you bought into the spin job coming out of Houston after all the Chris Paul news a couple weeks ago.

Westbrook and lebron are both known as great teammates. Yet no one wants to play with them for other reasons.
Looks like "run it back" isn't going to happen

If we’re being honest it’s basically impossible to select any one of his arguments as “most ironic”

That's one hell of a buyout. Chris Paul is still owed another $124 million.

Remember when Boom said the Harden/Paul story was a made up LeBron leak
