In the end we cant blame Kawhi for wanting to go back to Los angeles and play for the better run org out there. Clips GM ain't trying to set up Kawhi with Heath Ledger. Just running a solid org.

I think it’s funny how now two players who demanded to go to LA ended up there....as a clipper.

Also all that positive momentum about trading for a guy who is forcing his way to one place and then having good luck trading for him seems to be a bit out the window

If Toronto turned down a team of Russ/PG/Kawhi then Masai is not as smart as we thought.

That team would wreck the East.

From what I'm reading, George was done with Westbrook. Wonder how that would have worked.

Kawhi did not want a super team. He is too competitive.

I wonder what made Masai say no to that. I mean Siakim will probably be nice, but that's a nice grab for whatever. Especially in the East.

But Russ is a black hole with the basketball.

That's the problem.

I honestly don't think anyone wants Westbrook touching their team.

I'm still pissed at kawhi.

I gave him all my time this week refreshing and comparing shop inventories only for him to make his decision when I'm asleep.

frick that guy

Of course not. Can’t even get out the first round of the playoffs even with someone like Paul George.

He didn't want to be Robin.

If they could have just tried a trade for George with Kawhi re-signing, leaving out Westbrook,I think that could have been a scary proposition as well. Green is probably still gone, though.

Who was the poster that said "Why would Kawhi wants to sign with the Lakers when they were willing to give up a huge package for AD but not for him?" He was spot on. If the Lakers had traded for Kawhi last season, he almost certainly would have re-signed with the Lakers. That was a massive screw-up by them.

Curious to see where Russ goes now.

Dallas?
Miami I could see wanted to make another splash
I would say the Knicks but they blew their space on mid range dudes
Prolly someone I’m not thinking of as well

I think Kawhi was set on the clippers and wasn't going back to Toronto regardless. Even if Toronto approves that trade, they didn't want to play there.

Again, Pops wasn't going to deal him to the Lakers.

The issue is George in that trade IMHO. Players haven't recently shown they can take control of every situation where they want to play ETC.

masai loses a young prospect and some (I'd say anunoby as well) for it to be the same version of okc

Kawhi wanted lakers before lebron went there. once lebron went there they were not attractive to him.

It is an Inretesting question for the lakers.

Would you rather have gotten kawhi or lebron::

Bc it is evident that it was an either or from kawhis perspective.
