All the people that just want to hear Roundball Rock on NBC don't complain about their future Inside the NBA replacement featuring Isiah Thomas, Maria Taylor, Frank Vogel, and Channing Frye.
Assuming we aren’t also getting the pissant boil that is Bob Costas?

Did you not read the numbers in the OP?
$2.6 billion increased to $2.8 billion annually and 2.5 billion to 2.6 billion for the A and B package is not doubling them.
No idea what the current rate for the C package is but even if it’s zero dollars, that’s an increase from $5.1 billion to $7.4 billion at most.
The hell kinda math did you learn growing up?

The increase is from the previous offers; not the current contract.
“Disney’s ESPN also would continue to carry regular-season and playoff games. Disney reportedly would pay $2.6 billion a year, up from $1.5 billion in the current deal that runs through the 2024-25 season.”
LINK
“The wild card in the NBA talks is the entry of Philadelphia-based cable giant Comcast Corp., which reportedly has made a $2.5-billion bid for a package of games for streaming service Peacock and broadcast network NBC.”
This is up from the current TNT deal of $1.2 billion.
LINK
Plus a new “C” packages that didn’t previously exist:
“ Amazon's deal is believed to be worth between $1.8B and $2B and would likely include the Emirates In-Season Tournament, the SoFi Play-In Tournament, first-round playoff games, the WNBA and international rights.”
So yeah, more than double.

I can't wait for the trailer parks across the South to melt down once the first $100M/year player signs his deal

Unpopular opinion. Inside the NBA has become the most overrated show out there. There are great moments and hilarious moments, and it used to be great. But the show is basically Shaq mumbling about his hate for todays big men and that he is better than them, Kenny hating in general, and Chuck saying something funny but not knowing anything about the actual teams because he (and really all of them) barely watch any basketball anymore.
This is the truth. It’s a lot like College GameDay. Used to be appointment viewing. It was way better and cooler when they weren’t as popular and still put forth the effort. Now they just play up the antics (instead of them feeling organic) and are becoming increasingly worse at analyzing the game. It sucks it’s leaving but better to leave it now than have it turn into GameDay

The NBA really should just be named "Try that in a small town"

End of an era, one of the greatest sports shows ever created often imitated, never duplicated. Next season will be emotional

And that’s not what the article in the OP states as I said so your point?
What’s funny is you and your ilk will say that MLB is dying while you suck off the NBA and yet MLB spanks the NBA’s arse in terms of revenue and ratings. Hell the NBA’s regular season ratings are barely above the NHL’s at this point.

I linked articles to verify. You can search for other articles as well.
But you’re clearly a dipshit who’ll just deny reality because it doesn’t fit your emotionally driven narrative. Nice attempted deflection on baseball, whose World Series ratings were just an all-time low.
