Yall still talking about Halliburton? If Patrick Beverly doesn't take Russell Westbrook out OKC wins the title easy that year. Works both ways.

Pretty sure people are staying on topic and you’re the one asking to fight people irl.

Who’s detailing it to be clear?

Exactly. You can do this for damn near any season. Why focus on the recent WCF? All sports are games of attrition as well. Injuries are part of it, and depth is key.

I refuse to believe that someone who has been on this board since 2005 doesn’t understand the Sonic reference. Why so serious??

He’s young with a temper. Surprised he even showed up for presser, he skipped one vs OKC and league let him off the hook (mandatory). Just like the elbow. League has been catering to him. He is showing his true colors these playoffs. He’s no longer that tall feel good story.

He's only not a feel good story to okc fans. This playoff run reminds me of the lebron run with that cavs team in 07. LeBron was more dominant, but the nba world is fascinated to see if he can pull this off.

He snatched the best player alive/face of the league belt at age 22 and people are seemingly surprised that he has a following

This Knicks team is a buzz saw. I fully expect them to win a tight game 3 and a blowout game 4

But on the off chance they lose game 3, game 4 becomes one of the ultimate lemon booty atmospheres of the modern age

It’s fun to see the glorious melts for the Spurs supporters. Us Thunder fans are over the game seven loss. As the defending champion, the recovery of losing game seven was quick.

Your passion for wanting to fight OKC fans is the equivalent of how a lot of us OU fans felt toward LSU fans in January 2004.

Every game thread has fans from all teams chiming in. The OKC faithful are having fun as the reigning champion seeing the favorite lose in hilarious fashion. As it looks right now, the Spurs championship was defeating OKC; Wemby’s reaction in OKC showed it.

For sure. I’m dead serious too. I saw the original Sonic was located in Shawnee, OK and the HQ is in OKC. Honestly, this works out perfectly. You guys seem a little afraid of a knuckle check.

I expected 20 threads and a major sports writers huge articles about Wimpy flopping today. But none to be found. Narratives are amazing

And the leagues anointed one/team has biggest FT spread in playoffs history. And so many calls in games are obvious like them calling backcourt violation and his foot never even came that close to it. They are trying everything to help SA and its very obvious to most fans. People got caught up in tic tok and twitter narratives when the real focus should have been in SA.

I do think its starting to change. Seen a lot of pundits who trashed OKC making apologies and now seeing the truth about SA. SGA may exaggerate some fouls but all players do. But he’s never went full angry and elbowed someone in the neck and other “dirty” plays that Wimpy already has. He’s never skipped any post game presser. He never once claimed he played “ethical” like Wimpy did. He didn’t swing someone by the neck like Wimpy did last night. There is a big difference between these players but narratives take time to undo.

And why is league giving such a young player all these calls when historically you had to earn respect over years? Could it be NBA trying hard to grow the sport overseas since Wimpy is from France. There are dots to be connected.

Wimpy:
30.91% of Points from the Free Throw Line
8.54% of Points for the Spurs from the Free Throw Line

Spurs:
Fouled Less
Less Technicals
Less Flagrants
More Free Throws Shot
19.60% of Points from Free Throw Line (15.24% for the Knicks)

This was proven false in another thread. Not even sure where you made this stat up. The FT spread in the WCF probably isn’t in the top 100 of FT disparities. SA attempted 156 FTs to OKC’s 140.

Top tier posters don’t make up false stats. Do better.
