Don’t NBA playoffs usually end in the middle of June?

Memphis was probably bout to rattle off like 12 losses out of their last 15.

Nah. That wouldn't have happened.

This is all just a ploy by Adam Silver and the league to keep JJ Redick's playoff streak intact.

They do, but they could still do something that starts in May. No one can see the end of this because we are in the middle of the hysteria. I think people will feel very, VERY differently by the end of April.

No one can see the forest through the trees right now because we are in the thick of it.

A lot of leagues are going to feel stupid in about 2-3 weeks.

Yea, I have no clue of the credibility from the OP and whether that's real or not, but it just doesn't make any sense to make such a rash decision right now.

Maybe it won't get any better and the season won't be played, but there's no upside to cancel now. Just wait it out.

Take current playoff standings and I was thinking they could maybe do 5 or even 3 game series to squeeze it in.

The more teams and people involved, the harder it becomes to isolate and protect everyone.

Don’t need seeds 5-8 there.

I agree.

I also agree with Bunchie that we are all going to feel a lot better about this in like 3 weeks.

Yea. Memphis fell apart post ASB and their schedule was only getting harder.

In their last 15 games, they'd probably on be favored in 1 or 2 remaining games.

All playoff teams outside of NOP (who assraped them in 2 earlier meetings) NYK (lol), SAS and POR. Memphis would be proud to go 5-10 in their remaining games.

I mean, we have no way of knowing.

But the Pelicans had the easiest remaining schedule in the league and the Grizzlies had the hardest remaining schedule in the league, and were in bad shape injury wise.

Its LIKELY that the Pelicans or another team would have surpassed them, and virtually all mathematical models predicted that.

But its a moot point because we will never know.

I'd sort of enjoy 1-4 seeds only just for Boom's pretzel logic about how the Rockets missing out somehow shows James Harden is awesome.

Seriously doubt this is true but the problem that the NBA has is that training camp for next season starts end of September. And then where do you stick the draft. Something somewhere will have to be cut

Next season won't start till Christmas Day.

I'm a day late on posting this, but:

Lakers to win title if season is cancelled

"NBA Bylaws 6.23: If the season ends prior to April 1, the team with the best record in the year the NBA Finals will be held shall be crowned the undisputed champion."

I just regret missing posting this yesterday, I only swiped it from Pels talk today by accident.

I could see them doing some type of tournament but I don't see any way you can crown a legit champ at this point

LOL, this makes less sense than the Payroll Protection Program rules that banks still can’t figure out.

It would be hilarious for the Lakers to give up everything for AD and not even play a playoff game.
