NBA announcing the season is cancelled today?

I just heard a report on CBS Sports radio that they believe the NBA is announcing they are cancelling the playoffs and season today.
This would give a lot of credibility to the rumors that the NBA draft will be pushed back to August or September.

Seriously doubt this is true but the problem that the NBA has is that training camp for next season starts end of September. And then where do you stick the draft. Something somewhere will have to be cut

They should just cancel everything and take the top 4 teams in each conference and start the playoffs in Vegas.
1 vs 4 first round conference semifinals is best of 3
Conference finals best of 5
NBA finals best of 5
8 teams limits the exposure. Cutting those 8 teams to 4 after a quick first round further reduces risk.
Let them play every other day. Start August 1 and finish by October.
Push back start of next regular season (and reduce games) if necessary.
