Where should my buddy and I go? We both love baseball and would base our weekend around the games, golf, and breweries/distilleries.

idk about vandy but texas games will be hard to get tickets for and the resale will be very expensive. they are still doing limited seating and you may have to pay $200+ per ticket for a super regional fyi

Austin

Vandy's baseball stadium is trash. Although you can watch pretty well from the RF parking garage and not have to pay for a ticket plus you can bring booze.

Surprised to hear that about Texas, but figured tickets might get pricey. Luckily we won't be coming out of pocket for our room, and we'll drive to either site. Was hoping Ole Miss would have kept their steam going and we could sneak into the outfield, but alas. Starkville isn't off the table either, but figured Nashville or Austin would be a more fun weekend for golf and boozing.

Can't undervalue this, and Starkville will knock off half the commute (from NOLA), how is the golf/brewery around there?

Nashville has a good selection of breweries.

For golf you will want to play at The Hermitage. It's about 30 minutes north of Vandy and is the best public course in the area. 2 great courses.

Go to Nashville. Catch a Super Regional game and then if the Nashville Sounds are in town, go to a game there and hang out at the bar down the right field line.

Several good breweries as well. Fat Bottom Brewery was a fun place to hang out. Not my favorite local beer up there, but it was decent.

You’ll thank me later

I'm actually moving to St. Louis (county) this summer, wouldn't be a bad idea to catch some of their farm talent!

The Sounds are AAA for the Brewers. The Cardinals AAA team is Memphis.

Nashville/Austin would definitely have more to do as far as breweries go but you could always just hit up some college bars too.

Golf in that area is great as well because you have two top 100 courses just 15 minutes outside of Starkville (Old Waverly & Mossy Oak) you could even stay there if you wanted.

Can’t go wrong with Nashville or Austin though either

Weather will be nicer in Nashville. The stadium is dogshit though but there's more to do before and after the game.

you don’t even know if the home teams will be there... the sites will be predetermined before regionals end

I would guess the whole “scene” would be frighteningly similar. Nashville would probably be 15 degrees cooler, but Austin would probably have better live country music.
