The pre-race moment honoring Kyle Busch with his family there was one of the most beautiful yet terribly sad things I’ve ever watched.

The Busch family is at Charlotte. Including his wife Samantha, son Braxton, daughter Lennix, his parents and his brother Kurt.

Whoever made the decision to do a closeup view of Samantha during this memorial should be fired immediately. Totally inappropriate.

That's why you're not in the media business. It'll now give lasting image and create ratings/online clicks. That's the purpose of the cameras being there

Seeing Kurt standing with his mom and dad and the entire garage standing behind them just got me

And Brexton. Goddamn.

I’ve been thinking about Kurt this week. He’s the only man that had a more entertaining radio than Kyle.

He's a guy that was able to permeate the zeitgeist.

Even guys like me who do not follow NASCAR knew who he was.

That tribute… if you watched that and didn’t feel your eyes tear up…. You’re not human.

Unfortunately, in a few months most of the people on the front line in that memorial service (The Busch family) will probably be suing the other 2 people in the line (RCR and NASCAR) for wrongful death. Given the circumstances there was more than likely negligence involved and in that situation everyone gets to be defendants even if their involvement in the actual negligence is minimal. It's gonna really suck, but Samamtha has to do what best for her kids and get them the biggest possible nest egg, not to mention make sure the people responsible for this are held to account. It'd doubly important since they were swindled out of so much of their fortune not too long ago.

In case people forgot or didn't know:
