Seems to be a trend of athletes wanting to play just long enough to keep earning income/influence simply for “being famous”.

She is not Lebron.
Lebron wants the spotlight him at all times and wants everyone to know what his opinion is on everything. Osaka is actively trying to stay out of the spotlight, but her trying to stay out of the spotlight is keeping her in the spotlight.
