According to rivals mod in a premium post

That list does nothing for me. The goal should be to get someone as good as Beilein

Juwan would be a wildcard. Zero college nor hc xp

Juwan Howard would be like the Penny Hardaway hire to Memphis or Patrick Ewing hire to Georgetown.

A question mark as a HC, but brings a name that could be a bonus in recruiting.

They better be posted up outside Billy Donovan's house before anything.

Mike Brey could bring the mock turtleneck back to glory at Michigan

Michigan should try to get Chris Weber from TNT. You'd totally end all fan complaints about a coach not using all of his timeouts.

The timing is bad. Very few, if any, great college coaches are probably going to be interested at this stage of the off season. Most have their teams lined up for next year. Taking a new job would to some degree be starting from scratch.

Michigan has to make Billy Donovan tell them no. He likely will, but you at least have to make a play. The other option is bumping up an assistant as a de facto interim HC, then making a big play next season.

Those are awful choices, I would have thought Michigan could do somewhat better.

Michigan is not a basketball blue blood. We are similar to Michigan state football. A capable program who can win big with a good coach, but not a program that can carry itself on resources and recruiting alone.

If UM hires a dweeb, it’s back to the dark ages

If I were a Michigan fan, I would rather give Yaklich the job over Howard. Of course that's after you make Donovan say no.

Mike Brey is a top 10-15 coach in college basketball. It should do nothing for you though, because he isn't leaving Notre Dame for Ann Arbor.

Brey would be a good hire. Can't see him leaving the ACC and ND though.

You are selling your program short. UM has made final fours in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 10s with one title and two title game appearances. You are a notch below Michigan State if you had won the two title games you would be considered the better program.

The problem with Michigan basketball is that you never give it the same resources and respect that football gets.

Brey is a pretty good HC but Juwan Howard makes no sense
