Bull shite. They should ban him for life if it is proven that he made this up to try and get his suspension reduced.

You missed the point, which is not surprising given how emotional you are here.

Yea, I really hope Rudolph was miced up for this so that Garrett can be burned at the stake.

Yep

But the reality is he'll just use something along the lines of saying those were just "media reports" and don't believe everything you read, and then it would all just go away quietly unfortunately.

its clear that myles is only doing this for his appeal process. theres no way he could even prove this to begin with but hes banking on the league folding under the simple optics of race. doesnt seem like its going to work and will probably only make things worse for him

Too many in sports media are complete cowards.

It should result in Garrett being permanently banned from football. You can't assault and injure a player like he did and then knowingly make false accusations that have huge implications. The NFL won't do that, and ESPN and Co. will go soft on it.

Hopefully some audio will arise sufficient to allow Rudolph to sue him for defamation, although I'm sure there are some league/PA issues obstacles to litigation.

If I was Rudolph I go after Garret legally now. He has an easy slam dunk case. Don’t be a pussy Mason

Press charges for the event and sue him for defamation.

I feel like this helps discredit real racial bigotry that actually takes place. Similar to a false rape claim.

Real racial injustice loses credibility from stuff like this

Yeh, honestly, it should result in a permanent ban for Garret

You physically assault a player by hitting them in the head with a a helmet, and then you make accusations never once mentioned for them to combat harming their reputation

Not sure how he'd prove the tangible damage done for defamation, especially this soon after the report.

I wouldn’t go that far.

Pouncey was likely in the same mindset as Kyle Turley, which is “You frick with my QB and I’ll frick you up.”

Slurs wouldn’t have entered into It.

If he loses his job because of it, that’s about as easy of a claim as can be. Future earnings lost

Yeah I just think times are different now. Plus he’s a QB and they’re looked at differently. Who knows

So not only did Rudolph commit assault and battery on Myles by trying to rip off his helmet and kick him in balls to begin the altercation but he did it because he is a racist too

Try him for hate crimes. 15 to life

Depends on JXN, but defamation per se probably fits here
