Pretty soon, you won't be able to call someone a 'Home Owner'. Too racist.

Well they’ve already attempted to take away the term “master bedroom”.

The best part is that's not even new. When this happened, however long ago it was that the Draymond/owner quote happened, I went to his Twitter profile, found that, and posted it here. All this time later, it's STILL there for me to post again today.

That was me.

This is all that needs to be said. They feel the need to advertise how "progressive" they are. If it wasn't this, it would be something else. They'll invent some sort of new way to virtue signal.

When the SJW mob demands something, you do it. You never are allowed to question if it makes sense or is reasonable or foolish. You just do it. Because if you don't do it, you're clearly racist/sexist/whateverist.

Draymond Green was the one who raised hell about it first. IIRC, it was from a spat with Cuban or regarding Cuban.

Mark Cuban offered to pay for Green to take business classes at Indiana after that ridiculously dumb comment

Whoops!

I had the old one uploaded, so I definitely posted it somewhere.

Not only did I botch that, but I also added this reply to that thread, making it a very weird bump now.

This shows stupidity. If you buy a company, you own the company, not the employees. Anyone with an IQ above 60 can figure that out.

sure thing tradcon.

"owner" in the context of the NBA just has a bad vibe. not a big deal to change it to something more culturally appropriate

I have never seen the term owners as being weird or bad at all.

They own the teams, not the players. The owner is not the players owner, but rather theyre employer, or boss.

You have to admit it's pretty awkward when a black man refers to the principal in charge as "my owner" like Antonio Gates when he said "My relationship with my owner has been phenomenal."

I would think the black man should refer to the principal in charge as the owner of the franchise for which he plays.

The black man in your hypothetical is apparently a moron.

if you don't see why a black dude would have an issue calling someone "owner" then you part of the problem

The NBA’s a league of contradictions: on one hand Silver behaves like a tyrant and bans Donald Sterling (rightfully IMO) from the league for a private conversation and imposes tampering penalties for acts that don’t qualify as tampering, on the other hand the league strives to be SJW and phase out the term “owner” from the lexicon to be sensitive to these fake victims PICK A DAMN SIDE YOU CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS

I'm fully aware of slavery.

Literally no one playing in the NBA was a slave or had parents or grandparents who were.

No one is saying team owners own the players. That would be ridiculous. These players are paid multi millions per year. They are in no way slaves or anyone's property.

This is retarded.
