I did read up on it and it is clear the Vietnam War and domino theory was made up bullshite to subsidize the military industrial complex.

What does the Cold War have to do with Ali? Ali refused to go to war with Vietnam. The Vietnam war wasn't a proxy war, 1.3 million people died from direct engagement.

I don't need to tell you why, he already did 50 years ago. He stood up for what HE believed in and he accepted the consequences for that. It is of convenience that he believed the Muslim religion was aligned with his beliefs, I have no doubt regardless of his affiliation with any group/religion he would've still done the same thing.
Any swinging schlong in America at the time could've done the same thing and suffered the same consequences (many did), he didn't take advantage of his wealth and try to flea.

There are a lot of docs and books about that moment...the oh crap, we make all this money from WWII and Korea and Corps are pressuring us to use what we got to spend more next year...we need to find a "conflict" so much money in destroying people and worlds - the standing army, warned about for generations of great Americans.
Now we just accept it as though that's how it should be...when our forefathers said it was wrong.
