I don’t think they will ever “replace” Topps. The brand is worth too much. They continue with the parallels and have ever more non base additions every year. Short prints. Super short prints. Photo variations. Golden mirrors. They take inserts and have parallels of those. Insert autos with parallels. One does have to wonder if they are getting back into the 80s/90s territory with too much. But the product is fairly expensive.
I think the more interesting question is what happens when fanatics obtains the licensing to even more sports that are exclusive.

Hi...I'm not much of a collectibles guy, some family members are though, so from time to time I get roped into their nerd outs. Quick question, and not sure if this was answered here or not, so please point me to it.
I was sent a video clip of something a bit back, and noticed that the guy had a baseball card scanner that was loading them pretty quickly. Like when you feed a regular printer. Recommended or stick to a flatbed version? Any recommendations on brands/models?
Something I'm looking to add for a Bday/Christmas gift type of list. Thanks.
(And I'm glad I found this thread as I may randomly ask a stupid question to help in those "nerd out" convos.

I'm assuming you had more in that sub based on serial numbers? 15/16 GEM rate would be pretty insane

I personally haven't seen anything like that. Taking a picture with the iPhone works good enough for me.

I sub with a buddy and we go through a shop. He had about 20 cards in the order.
Sub I paid for today is 12 10s, 4 9s, 1 8. Thats closer to average for me.

Can someone explain how a Joe Burrow rookie card can be worth more than a John Elway or Jerry Rice rookie card? Is it more to do with scarcity? There's really that many John Elway rookie cards from 1984 floating around?

"Vintage" holds its value and should be the bedrock kf any PC. The new stuff is straight up gambling like the stock market. You can pay $25k for a Purdy card and lose your arse if he loses a game.

Pick ups from the three day show in Nashville last weekend. Pretty descent weekend even though it was the holiday weekend and Dallas was having their show at the same time.
