My opinion on the Caps:
They have loads of talent, but the wrong kind of talent for the system they are trying to run. The team is overloaded with grinders...Ward, Brouwer, Chimera, Hendricks, Crabb, Beagle.
This roster was good for Hunter, but not for Oates so far. They have no finesse. When you watch good hockey teams the puck just seems to stick to their stick. The Caps just haven't been moving the puck around at all.
The Caps should not have let Semin walk if they were planning on bringing in Oates. They have no offensive firepower. Johannson is garbage and plays so soft.
Defensively they are a mess as well. No chemistry at all. What happened to the Carlson Alzner pairing? Hamrlik and Kundratek are terrible.
Should have never got rid of Boudreau.

he can steal a game, on his own.
his problem has been injuries and inconsistency. but when he's on, as good as anyone in league. He reminds me of Halak, if they ever put consistency together.
people always remember Halaks run in playoffs, they forget, he got pulled 5 times during that run.
