And if they put a contract in front of him making $4.1 he would've signed it. He ain't going anywhere.

We all know we were basically bidding against ourselves with O. He wasn't leaving for a better job because all of the jobs of LSU's caliber don't need coaches.

That said Woodward knows that the optics matter as well. This is just a cost you have to eat when you win a NC. They don't come for free.

Les and O are not remotely the same coach or person. Just another awful take from you.

The good news with it is when we sign him to that deal, he’s likely to simply play out that deal as is unless we get another Natty within 2-3 years. That’s the real benefit of his loyalty is the stability that comes with it

Every other coach with that kind of success would leverage other jobs for a raise every other season or every season. That’s just the way the business works nowadays.

All while his assistants are leaving in droves cause they are getting more money elsewhere.

Get back to me in 3 years when 80% of this board is wanting him fired for not being able to beat A&M or Mississippi State, and maybe Ole Miss too.

The assistants are leaving for bigger opportunities that come with bigger checks. Money isn’t the issue. We aren’t promoting within for the bigger coordinator/on field roles and these guys want a shot to do so to help build their resume and rise up the ranks

O's sales pitch is literally that he'll take below market salary to increase money for his assistants/recruiting

You’re too smart to play this game Jake

He bet on himself & he won. You do what you have to do to get in the door. Then you prove your worth. Then in this case, profit.

Sales pitch are exactly the right words

but the whole pitch was to come in under his market value. maybe with 2019 the checkbooks are open. if so, then it's fine. if we're just re-routing Aranda's salary to O and won't use that for an Aranda-level DC?

If you say this on the rant you will get downvoted into oblivion.

kill yourself. Coach O is the opposite of Les. did you watch a single game the past 2 years? Les wouldve been trying to tell our offense we had a good lead and overruling playcalls to run toss dive

they dont know shite. O has proven them laughably wrong once and they dont hesitate to doubt him and talk shite about him again. The program has steadily gotten better since he's taken over and he's looked to fix every weakness that arises.

Anyone predicting a collapse is wishful thinking or just flat retarded. The funniest part about it is georgia and Auburn fans will talk shite about him when he's never lost to them. LSU is 11-1 in their last 12 games against top 10 teams. That's not a sign of a flash in the pan.

There was an angry guy yesterday saying Coach O needs to get ahold of the program after we lost Munoz.

That dude probably didn't even know he existed until Brady left

O proved me laughably wrong by stumbling upon Brady.

Brady's gone. 3 years from now you'll be wanting him gone because LSU will be struggling in the West and stuck at 9 wins.

There are two versions to the story. They both involve talking to the Saints and meeting Joe Brady. They didn't know who he was before.
