Arizona St. - Probably Barry Bonds. But you could make a good case for Reggie Jackson, James Harden, Phil Mickelson, or Al Michaels.

Pat Tillman, I believe more people know him as a Sun Devil then the ones listed.

Ric Flair has an honorary degree and he's been a fan since before Spurrier.

Most people really don't know that Barry Bonds went to ASU.

College baseball isn't big anywhere but in people's minds.

EVERYONE in America knows that Pat Tillman went to ASU.

It's about fame...

I was wrong about Jackie Robinson earlier and UCLA - Jackie Robinson might be the most famous athlete in American history along with Ali...but almost nobody knows he went to UCLA.

People know Kareem went to UCLA...he won 3 titles in a huge college sport and then was with the Lakers.

UCLA - Kareem

USC - OJ (everyone knows he went to USC especially after the OJ trial)

Stanford - John Elway

Oregon - Steve Prefontaine

Texas - people say, Roger Clemens...nobody knows that Clemens went to UT...just like nobody knows that Tom Seaver, Randy Johnson, Fred Lynn and Mark McGwire went to USC.

I think most famous alum has to also be famous for the connection to the school in people's minds.

Texas has to be Ricky Williams or Vince Young. Everyone knows they went to Texas and are famous for their Texas connection in people's minds.

Not worldwide. Not even close. Ali yes. Robinson no. Jesse Owens would be much more known worldwide than Jackie Robinson in that era.
