Another was seeing a dude pole vault 17 feet in high school right by me. I think he went to Ponchatula High.

Chris Jackson and LSU vs Mississippi State. Phenomenal. Lost the game but I was amazed at his shooting a 3 pointer over 3 guys. Think he had a ton of points that game.

THIS!

as well as Jozy Altidore, LeBron, Seimone Augustus, Marques Colston

more recently, Ricky Rubio

in Arena League, Damian Harrell had maybe the best hands of any receiver I've seen in Arena or the NFL

CALVIN JOHNSON! I went to the Saints Lions and saw Calvin Johnson play for the first time in real life and I have to say he is a freak athlete. His size, speed, and athletic ability is rediculous. To watch him in real life is really impressive.

I'll say Tyrus Thomas shocked the shite out of me the first time i saw him play. Seeing someone with that explosive a vertical. He dunked a couple so high and hard. And was just blocking shots into the stands

Not to mention no one knew who the hell he was.

Lester Earl? Not even close. He was a really good athlete for his size, but I blocked his shot once or twice, and I'm white.

Dude was the most overhyped high school athlete in Louisiana history.

For me, it's still Chris Jackson, with a close second to seeing Bo Jackson play at Alex Box stadium and launch a shot all the way to the married student apartments.

Randy was great. A great player. Shocking? No.

lol. He was only a 2 time national player of the year. He would have been a multiple time NBA all star. and is prob the best player to come out of New Orleans in the last 50 years.

in retrospect, he sure was.

but if you watched him in HS he was a man among boys. He did dunks that you saw no other HS player doing, which is why he is mentioned in a thread like that. He had bonafied NBA athleticism
