Northwestern - What Pat Fitzgerald has done there is simply amazing. With the limitations they have at NW, for him to have them winning 8+ game a year is very admirable.
Army - I know they aren’t technically P5, but as an Army veteran myself, this school has a special place in my heart. These kids play for purely the love of the game. Some of them may one day pay the ultimate sacrifice. How can you root against that?

I have what i call “sister teams.” I’m not necessarily a fan per se, but I root for them to win their conferences.

Do independents count? If so, BYU. I was very close friends with a former player of their's. He passed away about a year ago this month.

BYU is historically and consistently one of the dirtiest teams in football.
This Mormon schtick doesn't apply to the football field IRL.
They are cheap-shot artists galore and dirty as frick. Every team on the West Coast has a story about how playing BYU is a pain in the arse because they try to injure you.
