I think that I win unless someone else met Ali or maybe Jordan.

Arnold Palmer.
At the Canadian open in 1976. I was taking a break from school and caddying for an ex-LSU golfer. We were paired with Palmer and played with him for the third round. He would have been 47 at the time.
Even more exciting for me, after that round, I went into the club repair shop to work on a putter. When I walked into the shop, there was Palmer standing there by himself working on his own putter -- adjusting the lie. I sort of ending up helping him with his club. We were probably there talking golf clubs and stuff for about 15 minutes. He was really pretty nice.
I have to add, while we were playing that round with Palmer, he was working the crowd like you wouldn't believe, especially the ladies. We had a huge crowd following us and they went crazy every time he hit a shot.
Jack Nicklaus.
I met him 2 or 3 times when he was in Baton Rouge working on setting up the golf course layout at the Country Club of Louisiana in 1985.

I met Jordan when I went to the Maui Invitational in 2007. His son was playing for Illinois and I was there with the LSU Basketball team. I had a media pass and was talking with Bill Raftery between the LSU-ASU game and the Illinois-Duke(?) game. I will never forget. I shook Jordan's hand!
I have also met Drew, Reggie, Shaq, and tons of Saints and former Tigers and all the Hornets and their opponents.

Charles Barkley NBA All Star Game
Dominique Wilkins NBA All Star Game
The most famous person I've ever met was Liam Gallagher who I am a big fan of, so that was cool.

Mickey Mantle - at an event with my dad's company, around 1990. He was super nice.
Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Phil Mickelson - at one of Tom Watson's charity events about 8 years ago. Jack was nice, but not very talkative, Phil and especially Arnie, were incredibly nice.
Mike Tyson - in Vegas in 2008, ran into him at the Forum shops at Bellagio, total chance. Great dude, his security didn't want him to stop, but he was great, took pics with me and wife.

I played softball with Wes Chandler (San Diego Chargers All Pro WR) and Rob Kish (3x winner of Race Across America) on my team. Stood in front of Rick Smits (the Flying Dutchman, Indiana Pacers C) at a deli in Poughkeepsie, NY at a deli across from Marist College. I met Adam Petty when he was 4 while he was being baby sitted by my mother-in-law.
That is Kyle Petty's son and also have Richard Petty's autograph I got while he was dining at Mario's Italian Restaurant in South Daytona. Met Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns in Miami.

Nice ... Where are you from TDawg?
Up by Bellingham. I went to his rival school. If you follow high school sports here, that should be pretty easy to figure out.

I feel shamed that my best one is Joe horn when I worked at a hotel. Later that evening he invited a female security guard up to his room.

Tons in tennis (Courier, McEnroe, Evrett, Agassi, Sampras), football (all of the Cowboys in the early/mid-90s through a friend, the Mannings, Ricky W., Jake Delhomme, etc.), track (met Carl Lewis in Houston, did a crossfit workout with Marion Jones earlier this year here in Austin) and basketball (met or played against a lot of guys in the NBA, incl. Shaq, Olajuwon, Dr. J., Andew Tony, Dan Marjle, Barkley, Chris Jackson, James Robinson, Allen Leavell, Kenny Maxwell), but my "wow" moment was Evel Knevel at LaFonda in Lafayette.

I sat next to Hank Aaron's mother on a flight.
I sat next to Ben McDonald on a flight.
I saw the Iron Sheik in the Atlanta airport.
I know Phillies reliever Chad Durbin.
I used to be drinking buddies with Alan Faneca and the LSU o-line in college.
Ran into Anthony Munoz at a Bengals-Saints game in the Dome.
Had a beer with Glen Rice at the Phoenix airport in a bar during a layover. Nice guy.
My aunt and uncle were next door neighbors with golfer Jeff Maggert in the Woodlands. He has a hot wife. Both are very down to earth.
I think that's it.

Gretzky, elevator in Toronto around 1991. Had him sign some random business card my friends dad had in his wallet.
The Great One.

Football: Jordan Jefferson, Terence Toliver, Ciron Black, Drake Nevis, Lavar Edwards, Chris Garrett
Basketball: Anthony Randolph, Alison Hightower
Baseball: Ben Alsup, Alex Edward
plus a bunch of lesser known athletes
