I’m really happy for Jamarr Chase and him reuniting with Burrow, but passing on the best tackle in the draft reeks of Mike Brown going for offensive fireworks to sell tickets, rather than investing in the less flashy pick for more long term stability. Typical Bungals.

They have two first round tackles and just took the best receiving prospect in a decade. This is a lazy take.

I'm happy for Burrow and Chase but I agree. Got to take the lineman.

I don’t know who the other first rounder is but Jonah Williams has been pretty uninspiring for 2 seasons

They signed Riley Reiff, but it's just a one year contract

Pff has broken this down on the podcast the last few weeks. The Bengals have a bigger need for interior lineman.

I agree. I get the pick..but WRs mean shite if QB has no time to throw to them. I take Sowell all day there kid is a stud at the second most important position on offense.

The drop off b/w tackles in the 5 and 37th overall picks is going to be far less than it will at WR

I didn’t realize he was a first rounder but I think he’s basically a journeyman. Has he even made a pro bowl?

Lol the last couple of years have had some of the best WRs going in the 2nd and 3rd. This is a really stupid take.

I would have taken Chase 1-1

Said so before the 2020 season

We’ll see how this plays out and they take their tackle in next pick and then 2 yrs from now

Bengals were weakest at guard, and they had to play backup guards that were just signed off the street. The play he got hurt was pressure up the middle. I actually would have taken Slater over Sewell if Cincy went OL with that pick. Someone like Leatherwood early 2nd would be a great option to start at guard and play RT in the future.

I would rather spend free agent cap space on proven elite lineman and get a truly elite WR on a controlled rookie contract.

I don’t think you and many others realize the difference maker that Chase is

LSU staff knew before Burrow did

Burrow knew who to go to when he needed it most
