I’ve always wanted to see that and a little shocked it hasn’t happened. Another thing I keep waiting to happen is one of those college kids break Herbstreits hand or arm attempting a field goal while he holds the ball.

Yeah he was cut by the falcons already this year. I think the hold threw him off. He might get cut again.

Dude if this was an SEC game that catch is 100% reviewed. Did he actually get 2 feet in bounds?

He'd probably have to buy another support dog while it healed.

I’ve literally never seen a kicker do that at any level.

I was the punter on our Jr.High team which was the first year my town played organized football. First punt in my first game, my 1-inch Spotbilt cleats got stuck in the grass at the beginning of the upswing, and I barely made contact with the ball. The ball just cleared the line of scrimmage. I remember yelling 'shite' when it happened. My upback guy told me afterward: "I knew something was wrong when I heard you yell 'shite'.

I think the kicker thought it was going to get blocked if he kicked it and tried to abort.

So.if there is a helmet to helmet hit with a penalty, should the fumble count? Hypothetical only, not this game.
