I’m holding out for the the $5 one day flash sale they did last year. Mlbstreams on reddit has been killing it this year for me

I don't ever use Reddit, did for a couple Yankees/Astros games since they're blacked out here but that is it. I don't like watching on my laptop and didn't feel like setting up my laptop to the TV.
Plus it is just a pain to use the internet function on my tv. Alexa should make it all voice activated

WestCoast, we discussed this the other day

According to recent stats, pitchers walk more batters when throwing in front of a shift than the number of singles the shift saves. Batters put up a .336 wOBA against the shift vs .334 on non-shift players.

Was reading an article about the Astros 4 man outfield shift and saw that tidbit and I know it was mentioned on ESPN by the talking heads recently as well.

I think most non-power guys are hitting around the shift, even Judge doesn't get the shift often because he has learned to shorten his swing.

From reading it appears to cover the last two years, also that the shift is going to eclipse last year by 10,000. So we will have 10,000 more shifts than last year

At this point in the season, I'm throwing Sean Kemp's name in the mvp hat. 3rd in batting avg and hitting big homeruns. He is their best offensive threat and without him, Dodgers are 8 or 9 games back.

The Brewers are currently leading their division and have the best record in the NL, but they still need a top-of-the-rotation starter to break into the ranks of baseball’s elite teams, especially given Jimmy Nelson’s uncertain return date from shoulder surgery. A prospect package of second baseman Keston Hiura (Brewers’ No. 1 prospect) and righty Corbin Burnes (No. 2) would have to headline any trade for deGrom, with two out of outfielder Corey Ray, righty Freddy Peralta (No. 9) and first baseman Jake Gatewood (No. 17) rounding out the deal.

Brewers kind of remind me of the 2015 Royals. Solid lineup, great defense, great bullpen, mediocre rotation. Not saying they will win the WS like that Royals team, but they have a similar makeup.

If the Brewers pull off DeGrom would that make them the NL favorites? Would it be enough to hold off the Cubs?

Japanese starting pitchers Yusei Kikuchi and Tomoyuki Sugano have been garnering attention from major league scouts, according to Jason Coskrey of the Japan Times. Several teams sent representatives to see the left-handed Kikuchi (Seibu Lions) and the right-handed Sugano (Yomiuri Giants) square off last Friday. The belief is that the 26-year-old Kikuchi will be the first of the pair to immigrate to the majors, perhaps as early as the upcoming offseason, per Coskrey. Notably, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reported in March that Kikuchi could end up with a contract in the $100MM vicinity if he does head to North America. Kikuchi would be posted, whereas Sugano may have to wait until he becomes an international free agent in 2021 because Yomiuri doesn’t post players, Coskrey explains. By then, he’ll be 32.
