Well no, unless the Yankees can't solve their pitching struggles

Yankees MLB starting pitching ranks since the All-Star break:
ERA 8.10 (last)
HR allowed 28 (last)
Opp. OPS 1.025 (last)
To put that combined OPS into perspective: JD Martinez had an OPS of 1.031 in 2018.

Yup, and this all came after one of the most productive streaks for them where no starter had allowed more than 4 runs the previous 17 games.

Smoke and mirrors, yankees staff is average at best. This is who their staff is.

Well no not true but whatever you want to believe

And, i'll say the fact that Yankees have a top10 pitching staff says a lot about pitching this season.
Cardinals who are 1 to 2 spots ahead of yankees in pitching have been average to mediocre nearly all season.
They have 2 rag arms, 1 who is literally done, and another who cannot pitch on the road and gets lit up. 2 young pitchers who still get the ball up and give up bad homers, and a Gem find in 2018, who's the average pitcher many expected in 2nd season.
So the fact all of that is part of Cardinals staff and still in top7? 8? in MLB says a whole hell of a lot about pitching in MLB 2019.

Yankees were 6th in pitching prior to the London series, I'd bet since that point they've been near the bottom and even with the struggling they're still in the middle.
Tanaka prior to London how a low 3 ERA, German was sub 3.00, CC was mid 3, Paxton was high 3, and Happ had a mid 4 ERA.
Are they great? No but they've certainly produced better than what they are currently showing.

Mets have no clue what they're doing, saw on Twitter they are talking to the DBacks about Ray

2021 we comin.

I changed my tune as to willingness to let him go but my point that he is the future is obviously just as important and obvious to them too. Brantley and Reddick are going to be older vets. They won’t get paid.

i honestly dont know how much i believe right now. these are just leaks for leverage

Championship now, future later because that banner will always hang but that prospect may not work out.
