I agree on Sale. Which is why I think there's a much better chance at the bait-and-switch with Quintana. They can get a huge haul for their No. 2 who would be a No. 1 right now with a bunch of teams.

That would be a joke. Gallo has a 30% K rate, nearing the point of stunted prospect.
Profar isn't a prospect - he's very hyped, but his production is that of a solid middle infielder who becomes a free agent at the same time Sale does.
Neither comes close to a headliner for Sale. I don't think the Rangers have the prospects.
The RedSox do and might be willing; the Dodgers and Pirates do, but won't be. I don't see much else.

A profar, gallo and say MaZara or Tate would be enough to get Sale. White Sox prospect cupboard is laughably bad. Couple that with Sale being the most vulnerable "ace" in the MLB the last 2 seasons and the Sox would jump at that deal

I would think so. And that isn't considering prospects like Lewis Brinson (OF - preseason top 15ish overall prospect) or Luis Ortiz (SP - preseason top 50ish overall prospect). The top end of their prospect list the last few years has been insanely good. They could come up with a combination to get just about anyone, I would think. Just depends on how much they're willing to give up.

We have one of the deepest farms in the league. Like top five.
It broke earlier today in DFW that the Rangers have contacted the Sox and they want Profar, Gallo, Mazara, Brinson and Ortiz.
It ain't gonna happen.

It doesn't matter how deep the Rangers farm is. Do the Rangers have 3-4 elite prospects? The answer is no. They have 1, Gallo, and I personally think he's bogus (been a top prospect too long; he'd be on the Rangers if he were ready; Ks way too much). They have another who was #30 in BA's list.
