Freeman and Miller. That is all we have. And maybe Simmons.

Price headed to the dodgers??

According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, MLB executives are "absolutely convinced" that Tigers lefty David Price is going to wind up with the Dodgers.
Nightengale suspects that Los Angeles will fork over top pitching prospect Julio Urias to get it done. Price is also drawing heavy interest from the Yankees, Giants, and Blue Jays, but the Dodgers have the young talent to beat all the other suitors. And they'll be a good bet to lock Price up long term once they have him in their grasp.

Brave thread was epic last night watching them think they are getting Seager to Urias to Puig to crap.

The whole Wilmer Flores crying on the field thing was sad and funny at the same time. And Terry Collins' comments after the game were hilarious.

Then the Brewers were tweeting pics and farewells to Carlos Gomez, only to have him not get traded. You think it's strange that Gomez goes back to that clubhouse today and is like sooooo, sup guys? At least he got traded for a decent couple players.

Why would they part with Urias for Price when they supposedly wouldn't for Hamels?

ETA unless he's basically said he will resign there I guess

We actually had a wonderful poster throwing stats out making it look like Wood is as good as Price and Hamels since 2013
quote:

Alex Wood since 2013: 3.10 ERA, 3.17 FIP
David Price since 2013: 3.10 ERA, 2.91 FIP
Cole Hamels since 2013: 3.19 ERA, 3.18 FIP

Listening to the radio this morning about how the Dodgers will try to flip a lot of what they received yesterday to the Tigers for Price. Radio guys threw out that Wood would almost definitely get flipped in that scenario.

Yeah and isn't Price a rental? No way that costs Wood + Urias

Makes sense. That would have to mean Greinke signs elsewhere in the offseason unless they want a billion dollar rotation

They could do that in the offseason whether they trade for him or not though. I can’t imagine they give up Julio for a two months of Price. I would just keep Wood over giving up Julio.

They might This front office isn't afraid to shell out the money. Hell I think they're still paying like $70+ million to guys that aren't even on the team anymore

6 super cheap years of Julio and multiple cheap years of Wood > 2 months of Price is how I see it.

The Tigers have been consistent with wanting major league pitching. There's no way alex wood isn't traded

Who cares when you have a billion dollars to throw around and play it like a video game

Just going to be that much better when the Cards (frick the cards) still beat the Dodgers in a playoff series.
