Masterson is gonna get tested quick too. First start is at home vs the Brewers and the 2nd start will either be at home vs Red Sox or at Orioles
He must be a huge clubhouse guy too as Kipnis went on twitter to defend him from the haters and the whole team is wearing knee high socks in honor of him tonight.
It will be interesting to see how he and Pierzynski interact too

Masterson is a GREAT clubhouse guy and teammate. The players loved him. I have no doubt that he will do great things for the Cards. Cleveland is in a position where they have a solid core of young talent (one of the youngest teams in baseball) and our farm system is loaded. Corey Kluber has taken the ace spot and it seems apparent that the Tribe are going to start focusing on bringing up some of that young talent to gel with the current young talent. I dont think it was a situatioin where the Indians didnt have faith in Masterson or anything, just pure business. Again, i have a feeling the Cards just won the NL Central. Masterson is a solid pitcher!
