In the top of the second inning of the Cards vs dbacks I swear to god Wacha threw a fastball as close to straight down the middle as can be thrown and the umpire called it a BALL

I have never seen anything like it, you could tell Molina and the announcers were all just baffled

Judge now has an RBI in 14 straight home games dating back to last year. Two games away from the all time record I believe.

Jacob Faria's place in box-score history today: Took him 73 pitches to get thru 1 2/3 IP in Boston. He's the first to throw that many pitches & get that few outs since Mike Pelfrey needed 74 pitches to get FOUR outs on 7/19/10.

Offense might be at a premium for a while in this Cubs-Brewers game. The shadows from the windows have a weird setup. Similar to this picture

The sun is shining directly on home plate with the pitchers mound in the shadow.

Cubs had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out, then bases loaded with 1 out and Darvish and Happ leave em stranded

Still 1-0 Brew crew mid 5th

Bowman won't have an arm by august.

Meat grinder Matheny doing his work.

He has 5 appearances in 7 games, after being over worked and on fumes last year. He's trying to do the same to hicks.

I thought Maddux had full reigns on pen, and Matheny had to sit back and listen??????????? Why bring in a veteran pitching coach, if ur not going to listen, and go back 2 ur old ways?
