Santana for a pitcher?

Sells high on Santana and would open up a spot for Brinson, and they definitely need starting pitching.

Time to get rid of Braun, send him to the Red Sox instead of them signing Martinez

According to reports from Yahoo Japan, the Brewers have made a formal contract offer to free agent right-hander Yu Darvish.

I would have thought many of these UFA’s would have signed by now. I’m surprised Angels haven’t offered Darvish, Arietta, or Lynn.

Giants not done yet.

Center fielder Austin Jackson has agreed to a deal to join the San Francisco Giants, the team announced Monday. The two-year, $6 million deal includes bonuses based on playing time, and other escalators could increase the overall value of the deal to $8.5 million, a source told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

Owners/GMs aren't willing to pay as much as what FA's were getting 1-3 years ago.

A lot of guys are pretty far off based on numbers, but they'll settle eventually.

Unshockingly, Texas fell for this shite three years ago and signed Choo to like 7-year, $1 billion contract

Brewers have always been willing to take risks as a small market club. They were ultra aggressive with their last group getting CC then Greinke. Can definitely respect that.

Yeah, I never thought Choo was anywhere near worth what he signed for years ago. Good to see that teams are getting smarter what they spend.

ESPN out of nowhere signs Rodriguez and Vasgersian to do Sunday night games. Both are really good hires. I love Vasgersian. He’s really underrated in my view.

I was watching old YouTube clips of McGwire’s home runs in his heyday, and loved Vasgersian’s call of one moonshot that must have went well over 500 feet. He was doing Brewers games then, so no one knew about him. I was surprised Shulman was replaced, but Vasgersian is an outstanding replacement. I love listening him do playoff games.
