Very very very happy that Chipper, Vlad, Thome, and Trevor all got in the Hall of Fame. Some of my favorite players to watch 10-20 years ago. Congrats to them and very well deserved.

Also, If Clemens and Bonds don't eventually get in, I will be fricking triggered.

Same here. Hated that fricker.

But yeah, he deserves the HOF.

2019 class, who do you guys have in?

I think Mariano is a lock (90%+), Edgar is too since it is his last year. I think Mussina gets in, as does Halladay. I think if Halladay was still alive he might have to wait a couple years, but the writers will vote him in first ballot.

Chipper Jones is such a scumbag and he is the king of trailer park baseball fans. Used to be this fat obnoxious trailer park woman whose son was on my sons' baseball team. She'd yell out in her loud, tooth deprived voice "OOO DOGGIE DURWOOD HIT A HOME RUN LIKE CHIPPA JONES, LIKE CHIPPA JONES WE BUY YEW A CHEESE PIZZA." God, I hated her and got to hate Chipper Jones because of her.

Her son's name wasn't really Durwood, as I changed it to protect his privacy. Her kid also sucked.

Jones also played for the Braves, which adds even more scuminess to him. I loved when the Yankees would kick their arse in front of their tomahawk choppin' lowlife fans.

So, naturally, my business partner gave me a Chipper Jones' autographed baseball for Christmas one year.

I have an irrational level of dislike for Chipper, mostly because of that fat loudmouth at the kid's baseball games.

Mariano
Edgar Martinez
Halladay

I think Mussina and Helton will fall short.

Pettitte and Tejada will be the only other first-timers to have enough votes to stick around on the ballot.

Vlad is going to wear an Angels cap in the Hall of Fame. It was widely assumed he'd go in as an Expo since that's where he came up, played the longest and has the superior statistics.

Not many people know this but thome is going in as a dodger. Best and most significant 35 at bats of his career

They do, don't they? I am pretty sure Maddux is wearing a blank hat because he didn't want to slight either the Cubs or Braves.

The Brewers have struck a deal to acquire outfielder Christian Yelich from the Marlins, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (via Twitter).

If I remember the story right without looking it up, Hoffman was a short stop who got converted to pitcher. Throwing gas. Then hurt his arm and came back with a vengeance throwing that nasty change up.
