Makes sense. I just assumed Gonzales's contract was still massive but it must be coming to an end.

Braves probably trying to hit that 2018 free agency hard.

Blackmon would fit well in Atlanta and he's from there I think

So the Dodgers are bringing Kemp back to get rid of all the money

He'd be a great fit. Obviously everyone is going to at least try for Harper or Machado but they're long shots.

Blackmon is a much easier target.

Much respect to Zaidi for being able to dump all those players on a team in one trade.

And now looks like they're going to dump Kemp as well.

According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Yankees have agreed to terms with left-hander CC Sabathia on a one-year contract worth $10MM. The deal is pending a physical, and includes performance bonuses based on innings pitched. Sabathia is a client of Roc Nation Sports.

Kazmir Gonzalez and Bmac’s deals all expire after this year so they’re trying to free up money for a year from now since Kemp’s deal runs through 2019. Not sure if you were agreeing with me

I guess the Braves think they will be close enough to add one of the FA's on the market then

The Cubs have been very active on the pitching market this winter, and now they’re looking at the top free agent arm available. The club has interest in right-hander Yu Darvish, Bruce Levine of CBS Chicago reports.

In return for Cole, the Pirates have been pushing for infielder Gleyber Torres (MLB.com’s second-ranked prospect), per Jon Heyman of FanRag (Twitter link). Heyman doubts the Yankees would give up Torres, though, and he notes that it’s more likely a deal would include Frazier and at least one other piece. The two teams are continuing to negotiate.

Frazier/Adams is what I've seen on other sites...

I really thought Kemp was going to become a star 5-6 years ago.

Jeff Passan
?
@JeffPassan
The scariest thing in the world for 28 other teams around baseball is the Yankees and Dodgers being run by intelligent people with good decision-making skills. They are. The second-scariest thing is the Yankees and Dodgers dipping under the luxury-tax threshold. They’re about to

Absolutely frick all of this. Cole has regressed so much in the last two years. And he's going to want a huge deal soon. He still has elite stuff so he would be worth a chance, but Torres and Frazier shouldn't even be in the conversation. A 4+ ERA and a shitty FIP in the NL coming into the AL East. No no no.

Not till 2020, however, I do think Frazier/Adams is too much....
Frazier plus some outside of the top 15 in the system should work
