They don't want to lose the fanbase and he is the last piece. Trade him they might as well rebuild. Tulo sucks now, EE left, now Jose is gone

How much did Nicasio sign for? I’m bummed he wasn’t resigned.

I’d rather have him than Gregorson. Maybe Orioles will move Britton.

He's expected to be their closer and they paid him about 7 million more than we did Gregerson. He was not worth it at that price, let Seattle overpay there we have a closer to get that isn't Juan Nicasio.

He would be the best arm in the cards bullpen

I don’t see the Blue Jays being able to compete with Red Sox and Yankees this year. Once they are done by July the fans aren’t going to care anyway.

Machado will sign with the Yankees next year. Any team that thinks he won't is retarded.

Don't see how they afford Stanton, Machado, Harper, and judge when he hits the open market

Don’t Yankees have a good 3B prospect almost ready?

I don't think the Yankees go after Harper. I expect them to go all in on Machado next year.

Mo is saying he will have 2 more deals before meeting is over.

One is going to be with Rays, names mentioned: Colome,Archer, and ongoria(meh) as possible targets.

And one of the MLB talking heads claim they are also in talks with Baltimore for Machado.

i say pass on Machado, unless you have a contract being worked on, huge Waste for 1 season.

Correct, we have had discussions with the Rays for a few days now and they are quite far along for Colome. What isn't really known is how serious the talks were with including Longoria with him. I would be okay with them as a package for the right price, I'm also meh on Longoria but I would definitely take him.

Longoria hit 36 home runs 2 years ago, and would improve the defense even more. I say go for it.

He's on the wrong side of 32. Not worth the prospects you would have to deal, to get him.

I suppose yeah, but even though 32 isn't super old and he still has a few good years left in him, he is signed through 2022 and the Rays are wanting to trade him so badly right now because the no trade clause kicks in.

quote:

After 2018 he would have a right to block trades as a 10-year veteran who spent his last five years with the same team.

Also don't forget his contract was backloaded, it is not team friendly from 2020-2022, the final 2 years of the deal he jumps up to 19.5m/yr and 20.5m/yr, not quite the same as the first few years of 13m and 14m.
