Didn’t the Braves also have to give up one of their better prospects too?

All of the prospects turned out to suck

LINK

This is the prospect that was the crown jewel of the J2 class and was supposedly the best prospect to come out of Venezuela since Miggy.

Madison Bumgarner. Let’s get the ball rolling in earnest: Atlanta has “made Bumgarner a priority and planned to quickly communicate that to the left-hander,” Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports California reports.

Do they resign Dallas too or was that just for the remainder of the season?

has a more mediocre player ever benefited so much from one random playoff run?

He was a top 10 starter in baseball for like a 4 year period there. But yeah that period has long passed. It was more than one playoff run though

he has actually literally never finished as a top 10 pitcher in WAR in any single season. at his two year peak, he was top 15

I'd love for the Braves to make it fast and not drag it out if they truly want to sign him.

80/4, 5th year team option, 2 million buy out.

He was top 10 on FG combining 15-16 and for the period from 13-16.

10th in 2015 on BR which I think is better. Regardless top 15 still isn’t “mediocre”

I don’t want my team to give him 70-80 million but to think he’s getting this deal or his reputation is based off only one playoff run 5 years ago is pretty idiotic

There would definitely be retribution for throwing at Acuna if MadBum was pitching for us

He's a Dodgers fan. The bias in calling Bumgarner mediocre for his career is quite evident.

Meanwhile in Houston,

A pair of front office executives have left, team President Reid Ryan was demoted and Jim Crane is appointing his son to a high level role in the "leadership team".

We're fine. Everything is fine.

Damn sure seems like theres a lot going on behind the scenes. Maybe more fallout from the Taubman shite.

ETA: ohh and Nolan is gone
