Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, and Astros appear to be essentially out on the FA market according to that one

Yeah I’m hoping we will pay like a Kyle Gibson type but even that may be a stretch

Not unexpected

Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak said in his season-ending press conference today that the team is attempting to work out a new deal with veteran righty Adam Wainwright. It seems Wainwright wishes to return to the fold and that the Cards would like to have him.

The recently retired Yankees hurler said he has spoken “many times” with the most coveted free agent in this winter’s class, and that “if you give that motherf–ker enough money, he’s going to want to come here.

“I am speaking from experience,” Sabathia said on an episode of his “R2C2 is UNINTERRUPTED” podcast, which dropped Tuesday.

Me and Gerrit Cole have spoken at length many times about me pitching as a Yankee as a West Coast Guy,” Sabathia said. “This is crazy, this is shaping out… like the same offseason I had.”

The Major League Baseball Players Association released a statement on Wednesday, saying it is launching an investigation after Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos made a comment in a conference call earlier this week which described coordination between clubs approaching free agency. Anthopoulos said, “Every day you get more information. And we’ve had time to connect with 27 of the clubs — obviously the Astros and (Nationals) being in the World Series, they were tied up — but we had a chance to get a sense of what the other clubs are going to look to do in free agency, who might be available in trades.

Well, that’s an easy enough fix

Fire the stupid mf’er

I say fine all 28 clubs $10 M each, subtract it from their caps, divide and cut each member of the MLBPA a check.
