so after declining gyorkos option, he was in line to make 13 million!!!, this is what our tax commitments look like right now

salaried players
kershaw
turner
kenley
pollock
kenta
kelly

thats 91.5

here are the players with arbitration coming up
bellinger
joc
corey
kike
chris taylor
muncy
baez
stripling
urias
barnes
yimi
alexander

thats projected to be 53

so give or take a little either way in arbitration salary, we are looking at 143.5 in committed salary before we get into what exactly the pre arb guys will be making. dont know those figures yet but it wont be too high. probably somewhere around 10 million. so i think we will be looking at somewhere in the 50s for tax space. which is off from what i was thinking before when i thought we would be just under 40

MLB Reference had this for the Dodgers
quote:

Dodgers (12) Pedro Baez – $3.3MM
Enrique Hernandez – $5.5MM
Joc Pederson – $8.5MM
Yimi Garcia – $1.1MM
Chris Taylor – $5.0MM
Corey Seager – $7.1MM
Ross Stripling – $2.3MM
Austin Barnes – $1.3MM
Scott Alexander – $1.0MM
Max Muncy – $4.6MM
Cody Bellinger – $11.6MM
Julio Urias – $1.7MM

quote:

When the off-season kicks off after the final out of the World Series, the Dodgers’ payroll will sit at approximately $113 million. That is without factoring in any of the arbitration eligible players which for the Dodgers there will be plenty. Mlbtraderumors.com recently came out with their projected arbitration salaries and the Dodgers figure to see another $53 million in payroll added to that $113 million dollar figure.

Guessing the 113 the MLB.Reference has them at doesn't include the buyout on Gyko. They have the projected salaries at 187. Or 174 with no options picked up.

so sad

I remember you gloating about his first couple of games with the Dodgers, only reason I do is because I have watched him the last few years, did see him beat the Dodgers on a late homer (or tie a hopeless looking game the Cards won) in person so there's that
