AP Exclusive: Home Run Derby could decide All-Star Game winner, with labor pact reading “If the All-Star Game remains tied after nine innings, the game will be decided by a Home Run Derby" between the teams

Not sure how I feel about this, although I do think it would be more interesting than the game. Will it be like hockey where you pick 5 to go do it? Does everyone on the team get one shot? What happens if it is a tie again?

Morosi - Sources: Freddie Freeman negotiations expected to reach a conclusion in next 24 hours and possibly by the end of tonight. #Dodgers have made a strong offer, and it is unclear if the #Braves will match it. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Freddie's camp floated that 6/185 number. Zero chance the braves are even in that ballpark

Dodgers and Braves have been most consistent pursuers and most likely landing spots for superstar Freddie Freeman. @jonmorosi says Dodgers are making push now. It's a surprise Braves didn't lock him long ago. Belief is they'd been offering about $140M/5 but he should get 6 years.
Probably be 5 and 150

Three teams are reportedly in on alltime great Albert Pujols but not all those on twitter r correct. Rockies are not. Mariners maybe but would be interesting since Pujols is said to have sided with Scioscia in the disputes with DiPoto. Cards would be crowd pleaser. @Feinsand 1st

Universal DH just extended Pujols' career. He might play to age 50. In 2024.

He wasn't really that good for the Dodgers .254/.299/.460 but his name alone and the records he is chasing makes him attractive.

He hit .294 with a .939 OPS against LHP last year. .180 with .500 OPS v RHP. He's an extreme platoon guy only. Shouldn't ever see RHP

He’s a great clubhouse guy and is priceless when it come to being a role model to the younger players. He has a ton of value.
