Seems like Lourdes Gurriel Jr is going to end up in Boston.

The fact that AJP was allowed to make the Padres first awful trade for Soto when he was acquired and then allowed to stick around and deal him again for some slack dick prospects is unbelievable.

Lucky for him his boss was too busy dying to fire him.

I don't see it that way. I see it as Seidler knew he wasn't going to be here for very long so he was behind the Padres go-for-broke strategy, and Preller was following orders.

Now it's about cleaning up all the damage that was done. Soto was my favorite player on this squad but the move had to be done.

A great day for the Yankees. The mantra has always been, if at first you don't succeed, just spend over 300 million on the payroll and try again. Soto Grisham and Verdugo from Boston help the Yankees get younger and bring the Bronx Bombers back to life. Soto is that left-handed power hitter the Yankees so covet. Now, if we can get Yamamoto, we be ready.

Absolutely, priorities changed with that Bally's deal falling through and Seidler passing. They're working on a new TV deal right now though. The new chairman has an accounting background so he's going to want to get the books in order.

Yeah, the Candelario signing is a bit of a head scratcher. We have a glut of INF right now. This probably means we A)move Spencer Steer permanently to OF and B)are looking to include an INF like CES or India in a trade elsewhere for SP. We shall see. Just glad to see Reds FO being active.

Reinsdorf runs 2 Chicago franchises into the toilet, making billions in while doing it; and now he does a dance with Nashville to get the City/State to build him another stadium.
What a louse!
